Free family music showcase set for Aug. 26 in Hancock

BlackCat Music Cooperative wraps up the summer with a fun-filled event for the family at Kirkwood Park in Hancock, Maryland on Saturday, August 26 beginning at 3 p.m.

The BlackCat Music Summer Showcase will feature over 40 musical performers and provide lawn games and picnic food for those in attendance. The concert begins at 5 p.m. and will feature The Berkeley Sings Rock and Roll Choir, The BlackCat School of Rock, The BlackCat Rock and Roll Orchestra, The BlackCat Jr. School of Rock, Cool Hand Ukes, The Young Yukes, Laz Rapidaz and The BlackCat Youth Vocal Club.

BlackCat Music Cooperative and The Hancock Arts Council are co-sponsoring the community event that highlights the many talents of area residents.

Kirkwood Park, with a large capacity pavilion, is located off Creek Road on Kirk Farm Road in Hancock. Admission is free.  See blackcatmusiccooperative.org for more information and a map to the event.
