A Morgan County Sheriff’s deputy was charged on Wednesday, October 7 with misdemeanor domestic battery following an on-duty incident at the Berkeley Springs residence of the officer’s female partner.
Cpl. Christopher Roper, 51, of Inwood was charged by Sgt. Smith of the West Virginia State Police on Wednesday morning and is currently on administrative leave while the case moves through the courts.
