The tourist bureau for Morgan County has moved its office to 342 N. Washington Street – in the historic Berkeley Springs Train Depot.
Laura Smith, administrative assistant for Travel Berkeley Springs (TBS) said on Friday the office would reopen in its new location on Monday, November 18.
“TBS is growing with more people,” Smith said.
The former office on East Fairfax Street was shared with the Morgan County Berkeley Springs Chamber of Commerce and is growing as well and added another employee, she said.
Smith said a sandwich board will be outside the local Chamber office alerting people where the new TBS office is.
“The renovations at the Depot are beautiful,” Smith said.
The 10-year lease agreement between TBS and the Town of Bath, who owns the property, began on November 1 at $1,200 per month for the first two years and $1,500 per month beginning November 1, 2026, according to the signed lease by Bath Mayor Scott Merki and Stephanie Rebant, TBS president.
The Berkeley Springs Visitor’s Center and Travel Berkeley Springs office is open Monday through Friday 9-4. Weekend hours will be added as new staff settles into the new space.
Parking for the Visitor’s Center is located in the gravel lot behind the train depot and additional spaces will be marked off along U.S. 522 in the future, Smith said.
