Margaret Marie Hutchinson
1927-2024
Margaret Marie Hutchinson, age 96, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born March 31, 1927 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lewis and Rebecca Virginia Waugh Shade.
She was a Christian. Margaret was a 1946 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She retired in 1989 as a seamstress from Londontown Manufacturing in Hancock, Md. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, gardening, quilting and being outdoors.
Margaret is survived by her children, Steven Eugene Hutchinson and his wife, Brenda and Larry Dean Hutchinson and his wife Lynn, all of Great Cacapon, five grandchildren, Annette Thompson and her husband, Randy Longwell, Katie Hageny and her companion, Doug Thompson, Jesse Lefever and his wife, Anne, Scott Lefever and his wife, Paige and Jeremy Lefever, four great grandchildren, Emma Thompson, David Thompson, Mia Thompson and Gracie Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Dow Hutchinson, two sisters, Genevieve Effland and Stella Jane Knoller Gloyd, three brothers, Charles Franklin “Bud” Shade, Glenwood Thomas Shade and Paul William Shade, Sr. and one granddaughter, Faye Hageny.
Private services will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery at a later date.
