Randy Blake Barnes

1954-2024

Randy Blake Barnes, age 70, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at his home.

Born January 8, 1954 in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Herbert Taft and Annetta Margaret Unger Barnes.

He was a Christian.

Randy was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and earned his certificates in Automotive and Welding from James Rumsey Technical Institute in Martinsburg, W.Va.

He worked as a fabricator in the metal works industry.

Randy was a member of the Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019 in Berkeley Springs.

He liked dogs, listening to Bluegrass music, socializing at the VFW, spending time with his wife and working with anything mechanical and welding. Randy enjoyed doing things his way.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Bruce Barnes of Berkeley Springs, Rachel Glascock of Martinsburg, Mildred Deatherage of Crossville, Tenn. and Lucille Ray of Maryland and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Kay Speelman Barnes, one brother, Herbert David Barnes and three sisters, Charlotte Trail, Margaret Fleegle and Barbara Barnes.

Graveside services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery, 6752 Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Pastor Lloyd McCanna.
