Twila Michael Andrews
1933-2024
Twila Michael Andrews, 91, of Berkeley Springs passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Berryville, Va.
Born January 6, 1933 in Great Cacapon, daughter of the late Martin Elisha Shanholtz and Oleta Pearl Arnold Shanholtz.
Twila was a member of Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Past Matron of Berkeley Chapter #77 Order of the Eastern Star. She was Morningside CEO and served as Morning County Belle in 2013. Twila was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She enjoyed the Red Hats, but mostly enjoyed time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Victoria Dawn Gilley (Dan, Jr.), Ann Douglas Sullivan (Norman), and Mary Beth Michael Allman (David Pruitt) all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren, Tyler Smith (Erin), Christopher Johnson (Laura), Maggie McNelly, Jessica Mann (Mike), Sarah Stevens, Susan Gilley, Joshua Gilley, Brian Sullivan (Kayla), Scott Sullivan (Erica), Hayley Dayila (Christian) Cameron Sullivan; 14 great-grandchildren, Bella, Leland, Harris, Willow, Magnolia, Logan, Grayson, Henry, Austin, Coltin, Braxtin, Amylia, Maddy and Lily; one sister, JoAnn Wachter; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick Douglas Michael; second husband, James Andrews; two brothers, Robert Shanholtz and Homer Shanholtz; and three sisters, Carol Dorsey, Betty Perry and Oleta Jean Shanholtz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 10123 Valley Rd., Berkeley Springs, W.Va. 25411 with Pastor Mike Leedom officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be private.
