While a few area pharmacies and providers have the new 2023-2024 updated COVID-19 vaccine, most are still waiting to receive their first shipments of it. Below is information from some area providers and pharmacies on the seasonal influenza vaccines, updated COVID vaccine and other vaccines they carry.

River Bend Family Medicine
Tonya Trembly of River Bend Family Medicine said they have regular seasonal flu vaccine (Fluzone) but not the high flu dose for seniors. They don’t have the updated COVID vaccine, but Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies have it. They also don’t offer the RSV vaccine.
Meritus Health
Meritus Medical Center was scheduling COVID-19 vaccine clinics for eligible adult patients on Monday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 10 and would offer additional appointments as more vaccines became available. Call to schedule an appointment or schedule via My Chart.
Walgreens-Berkeley Springs
Walgreens in Berkeley Springs has high dose flu vaccines and regular flu vaccines, the RSV vaccine and the updated Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Call 1-800-Walgreens or go to the Walgreens website to make an appointment for a vaccine.
Reed’s Pharmacy-Berkeley Springs
Reed’s Pharmacy in Berkeley Springs has the regular seasonal influenza vaccine and also the high dose flu vaccine for ages 65 and older. They also have the RSV vaccine for ages 65 and older, but no updated COVID-19 vaccines yet. The pharmacy takes walk-ins for vaccines from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through the week but not on the weekends.
Mountaineer Community Health Center
Mountaineer Community Health Center will be offering regular and high dose flu shots for seniors age 65 and older at the beginning of November, said business manager Stephanie Miller. They advertise on Facebook when they have them available and also have a wait list.
The health center doesn’t have any updated COVID shots yet as there’s presently no demand in their area, Miller said. They applied for grants for RSV and pneumonia vaccines for the elderly and are still waiting to hear about their grant status.
Reed’s Pharmacy-Hancock
Reed’s Pharmacy in Hancock has regular seasonal flu shots and high dose flu shots for seniors, said pharmacist Craig Hatcher. They’ve been unable to get the new updated COVID vaccine, but hope to get it soon. The pharmacy has no RSV vaccines at present.
Home Center Pharmacy
The Home Center Pharmacy in Hancock has regular flu shots and high dose flu shots for seniors over age 65. They don’t have the new updated COVID-19 vaccine or the RSV vaccine. The pharmacy mostly offers flu and shingles vaccines. They take walk-ins for vaccines and there usually isn’t much of a wait.
