A new regional Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office has opened in Berkeley Springs, just south of town. The DMV office opened to the public on Thursday, June 1.
DMV spokeswoman Natalie Holcomb said 15 people work in the new DMV office here, offering a full range of services – driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, title work, testing.
The office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Tamara Miner is the manager of the Berkeley Springs DMV office.
Holcomb said the state pays a monthly lease for the building, which was built by a private developer.
Holcomb said there are plans in the works for an official grand opening ceremony for the Berkeley Springs facility on June 23.
The DMV office is located at 101 Cavendish Drive in Berkeley Springs, with the entrance on the west side of U.S. 522/Valley Road across from Southern Belle truckstop. There are not any roadside signs pointing to the DMV regional office yet.
Walk-in service is available. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-642-9066.
