Helen Irene Funk, 96, of Mercersburg, Pa., died at her home Friday, July 12, 2019.

Born October 27, 1922 in Tunnelton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Ada O. Wolfe Funk, and the widow of James Monroe Funk, who died in 2003.

She graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1940.

She worked at Stanley Fulton Orchards, Dillon Orchards and her father-in-law, Stanley Funk’s orchard. She and her family…
