Harry Nelson Lanehart

Harry Nelson Lanehart, 76 of Bowling Green, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Born February 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Emory Lanehart and Rosalea Vanorsdale Lanehart.
Harry worked at Kirk Ford in Hancock, Md. for 26 years. He then went on to own his own dealership, Harry Lanehart Auto Sales that he ran with his wife and son at his side. Prior to retirement he worked as a correctional officer at MCTC in Hagerstown, Md.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Decker Lanehart, one son Harry Lanehart, Jr and wife Sandra of Las Vegas, Nev.; one grandson Nicholas Lanehart of Hagerstown, Md.; sister Barbara Truax of Greencastle, Pa.; brother Roger Lanehart of Hancock, Md.; brother Roland Lanehart of Hancock, Md. and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the American Legion in Hancock, Md. from 1-4 p.m. where Harry was a member for many years.
