Shelly Nicole Mellott

Shelly Nicole Mellott, age 52, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born June 29, 1973 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of Henry Clay McBee, Jr. and the late Karen Jo Young.
She was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
Shelly was a homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1311 and Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019, both in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Shelly loved the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, as they brought so much joy to her life, reading her Bible and prayed daily.
She was a loving wife, mother, GiGi, daughter, sister and friend.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 24 years whom was always there in every way for her, Gary Wayne Mellott, Jr., at home; three children, Franklin Herbert Hess II (Cortney Kesecker), Devon Taylor Mellott (Emma Grace Whiteman) and Jazmin Nicole Mellott; two sisters, Stacy Schultz and Lisa Jo Bachert; five grandchildren, Reiley Sinead McDurFee, Halia Aven McDurFee, Franklin Herbert Hess IV, Wyatt Drew Hess and Scarlett Nicole Faith Henry and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry Clay McBee, Sr. and Rachel LaVern Werdebaugh McBee.
Celebration of Life Services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483, 593 N. Washington Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shelly’s name may be made directly to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
