An especially busy series of emergency calls on Saturday, March 14 sent the county’s fire, police and EMS agencies in multiple directions to assist residents.

Calls included a structure fire on Brook View Acres off Henry O. Michael Road, a woods fire off the 900 block of Rockford Road in Great Cacapon, an outside fire at Wild Cat Trail off Jim West Road, a vehicle fire on Central Avenue in Great Cacapon, an outside fire on Sandy Hill Lane, an outside fire in the 7000 block of River Road and an outside fire incident in southern Morgan County that included severe burns to a patient who was flown out for medical treatment.

Firefighters from Paw Paw, Great Cacapon, Berkeley Springs, South Morgan and outlying mutual aid agencies responded to the series of incidents throughout the day, along with Morgan County EMS and police agencies, said Morgan County 911 officials.
