Hampshire County Commissioner David Cannon has been named the new state delegate for the 89th district, which includes the western-most portions of Morgan County.
Cannon will represent the district in the West Virginia House of Delegates, filling an open seat that had been held by Hampshire County resident Darren Thorne, who was re-elected as delegate in November.
