Roger Lyle Kerns
1949-2026
Roger Lyle Kerns, age 77, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Embassy of Woodland Park in Orbisonia, Pa.
Born March 5, 1949 in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late Robert Johnson and Carrie Blanche Divel Kerns.
He worked as an over-the-road truck driver.
Roger enjoyed cutting wood, hunting and watching his favorite television show, American Pickers.
Roger is survived by his siblings, Robert Kerns of Warfordsburg, Pa., Gloria Hoffman (Rick) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Lisa Stotler of Hagerstown, Md. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Kerns and Kenny Kerns.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 14253 Exline Road, Hancock, Md., with Pastor Jeff Hawbaker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV.
