State offices, courthouse will close half-day Thursday

West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey announced on Monday that he would give state employees an extra half day off for the 4th of July holiday, starting their holiday leave on Thursday, July 2 at noon.

State and county offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 as a holiday closure for Independence Day.

The Morgan County Courthouse will follow the state’s schedule and close at noon on Thursday, July 2. It will reopen on Monday, July 6.
