Millard Frank McCusker, Jr., of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., age 71, died on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on January 18, 1955, he was the son of the late Millard Frank McCusker, Sr. and the late Eleanore Jane Dawson McCusker.
Millard attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was employed at Caperton Furniture Works in the glue department.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483 and Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, being on his tractor, dancing, playing Queen of Hearts at the Moose and VFW and spending time in the garage with RJ and Canyon.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Nichole Thompson (Raegan); his step-children, April Dawn Eckerd (Troy), Tonya Hovermale and Matthew Hovermale (Danielle), all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; his sister, Brenda Kay Timmons (JR) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Montana Exline (Levi) of Little Orleans, Md., Koryn Coleman (Joey) of Warfordsburg, Pa., Raegan “RJ” Thompson, Jr., Tatyanna Thompson and Canyon Morrison, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one great grandchild, Novalee Exline, of Little Orleans, Md.; his fiancée, Phyllis Jean Hovermale, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; his former wife, Mary Jane Vogt and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Jane Selph, Charlotte Kerns and Hazel Waugh and two late nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service. Burial will be private.
Following the services, there will be a reception at Risinger-Stotler VFW Post #4019, 4490 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
