Donna Dobbins Ellyson
1957-2026
Donna Dobbins Ellyson, 68, of Berkeley Springs, (formerly of Glenville) W.Va. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 31, 2026, after a courageous battle with an extended illness.
Donna was born on November 4, 1957 in Glenville, W.Va. to the late Sherman Dobbins and Eva Opal Blake Dobbins. She was preceded in death by both parents, Sherman and Opal, siblings, Mona Sue, Randy, Michael and Tim Dobbins. Also, preceding her in death were her father and mother-in-law George Ellyson and Betty Ellyson.
Donna is survived by her beloved husband Stephen Ellyson of Berkeley Springs, her sister Linda Dobbins Brannon and husband John of Glenville, W.Va. and sister and brother-in-law Kim and Gary Norman of Shepherdstown, W.Va. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous loving friends.
Donna was a very active member of the Berkeley Baptist Church. She loved helping with the food pantry and adored helping in the nursery.
She was a graduate of Gilmer County High School and attended Glenville State College.
Donna loved her wonderful husband Steve, her family and friends so much. She truly enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to travel and especially her beach trips, going fishing, going to the camp, decorating her home, her dog Belle and spending time with friends and family. She had a passion for helping others. Donna was also a beautiful artist.
A Celebration of Life was held at Berkeley Baptist Church on Saturday, February 7, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Meadow Lane Cemetery on Kanawha Drive in Gilmer County at 1 p.m.
