Kurt Wayne Camm

1953-2026

Kurt Wayne Camm, 72, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Berkeley Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 30, 1953, in Camden, New Jersey, to Marlowe Emma Deichert Camm and the late Winfield William Camm.

Kurt proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam era. Following his military service, he dedicated 25 years to law enforcement with the Voorhees Township Police Department in New Jersey, retiring in 2000 with the rank of Sergeant.

In 2007, Kurt and Pat relocated to Morgan County, West Virginia.

Kurt had a deep love for the outdoors and music. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing and playing the drums. He was a proud member of the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club. Above all, Kurt cherished his family. He often drank from his favorite coffee mug that read, “Life is good,” and to Kurt, it truly was.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia “Pat” Moncrief Camm; his sons, Adam Camm (Christine), Eric Camm and Christopher Camm (Erika); grandchildren, Adam “AJ”, Tia, Logan, Emma, Lucas, Amelia, Illyana and Kya-Lynn; one great-grandchild on the way; and his brothers, Kent Camm (Kathy) and Kerry Camm (Kathy).

Services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at BrownFuneralHomesWV.com.
