Martha Ann Wyer
1960-2025
Martha Ann Wyer 65, of Short Gap, W.Va. passed away Monday December 1, 2025 at Complete Care of Dawnview.
Born on June 17, 1960 in Cumberland, Md. Was the loving daughter of the late Virginia L. (Swanson) Moore and the late Orville H. Moore both of Cumberland, Md.
Also preceding Martha Ann in death was her maternal brother Ronald I. Wise.
Martha Ann graduated from Allegany High School in 1978. Martha Ann went on to graduate from Frostburg University where she received her master’s degree in Physiology and West Virginia University earning a masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
Martha Ann went on to teach in both Morgan and Mineral counties where she excelled as a teacher.
Martha Ann is survived by her husband of 41 years Don Wyer. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Eric Wyer, Erin Wyer, Adison Wyer, her brother Michael Moore and companion Teresa Stuber and her son Nathaniel Stuber of Salisbury, Md, Aunts Liane Swanson of Bedford, Pa., Ruby Moore, of Lewes, Del., nephew David Wise, nieces Michelle Wise both of Oklahoma, Jennifer Lowe of Salisbury, Md., Stephanie Moore and companion Darryl Beachamp of Princess Anne, Md., great nieces and nephews Noah, Jayden, Mason, Isabella, Enslee, Axel and Zander.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 12 p.m. Friends were received one hour prior to the service. A meal was served at the Short Gap Fire Department Hall for all those who wished to attend.
