Frigid temperatures didn’t deter locals and visitors of all ages from coming out for some holiday cheer.
Nineteen local businesses and community organizations opened hot cocoa stops all around town. Some offered their own unique cocoa flavors, kids crafts, and Christmas cookies.
Ballet dancers from Twist & Turn by Whitney were in the library parking lot for two performances of “The Nutcracker” for families and those striding around town to shop and taste cocoa.
Santa’s sleighride stop was a highlight of the cocoa crawl, along with a gingerbread house competition at the Ice House.
What started as a way for a few local retailers to drive traffic to their shops has grown into an annual holiday tradition embraced by the community and more widely known by visitors.
