Ronald Lee Carbaugh
1943-2025
Ronald Lee Carbaugh, 81, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, succumbing to pain incurred from injuries and in conjunction with COPD.
He was born in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. on Sunday, November 21, 1943.
Ronald retired in 2009, after 44 years as an accountant in the automotive industry.
He was a lover and historian of the golden age of Hollywood, westerns in particular.
A lifelong passion for having his hands in the dirt and growing something never left him all of his years.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence Carbaugh and Evelyn Carbaugh; his aunt and uncle, Raymond and Netty Michael, aunt and uncle, John and Helen Johnson, and his beloved uncle and aunt, Ralph and Harriet Michael.
He was also preceded in death by his best friend and father figure, George L. Lightner.
Ronald was survived by his wife of 55 years, Stell Louise “Penny” Carbaugh; his eldest son, John Richard Carbaugh; and his youngest son, Calvin Michael Carbaugh.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
