Michael Jay Redick
1959-2025
Michael Jay Redick, age 66, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home.
Born June 26, 1959 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of James “Jim” Robert Redick and June Ella Perry Redick.
Jay was a member of First United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He graduated in 1977 from Berkeley Springs High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Fairmont State College.
He worked at Citizen’s National Bank, Morgan County State Bank and Luke Christie’s State Farm Insurance Agency.
He was a member of the Berkeley Springs Rotary Club and the Cacapon State Park Foundation.
Jay was a sports enthusiast and loved watching the WV Mountaineers and playing golf with his buddies. He also coached many sports teams locally.
Jay is survived by his mother, June Ella Perry Redick, his wife of 40 years, Diane Michelle Kerns Redick, at home, one son, Ryan Matthew Redick (Erika) of Raleigh, N.C. and one daughter, Natalie Elizabeth Redick of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Robert Redick.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, 49 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Josh Rider officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. There will also be visitation at the church on the day of the funeral from Noon-1 p.m. prior to the service.
