Jessey A. Messner, 32, of Berkeley Springs pleaded guilty to sexual assault in the third degree at Morgan County Circuit Court on Friday, October 31.
Messner was indicted on multiple felony charges in January of 2024 related to the case.
In July 2023, Messner took two teenage females riding around in his truck, buying them alcohol. He dropped one off, then took a 15-year-old girl to a back road and sexually assaulted her while she was physically helpless.
Messner left his victim by the side of the road near her house, where her father found her down a bank, incoherent and shivering.
For his crime, Messner was sentenced to one to five years in prison.
