Ronald Bruce Ullom
1944-2025
Ronald Bruce Ullom was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, in 1944, and passed away on September 28, 2025, in Ooltewah, Tennessee, at the age of 81.
He was the son of Blaine and June Ullom and the brother of Blainette Hanson.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Ruth Ullom (née Livesay, formerly Lighthall). He was previously married to Kathleen, who preceded him in death in 2013, and to Lynne, who survives him.
Bruce studied theology at Columbia Union College and served as a pastor in Maryland, Delaware, and Minnesota. He also worked in teaching, public health, and nursing home administration, and went on to serve as a Registered Sanitarian with the Morgan County Health Department where he retired in 2013.
He is remembered with love by his sons, Eric (Monica) and Marc (Sharon), and grandchildren Matthew, Nicholas, Emma, Michael, Jake, and Maya.
Bruce loved the outdoors, building projects, and writing. He will be remembered for his faith, wit, and devotion to God and family.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Pastor Jason Disch officiating. Private burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
