Randy Keith Miller
1952-2025
Randy Keith Miller, 73, of Fairmont, formerly of Berkeley Springs, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, October 3, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, after a six month fight with cancer, with his wife by his side.
He was born on July 30, 1952, oldest child of the late Alfred E. Miller (1981) and Ruth M. Miller of Berkeley Springs.
Randy is survived by his loving wife Margaret “Maggie” Morgan Miller. He is also survived by his mother Ruth E. Miller and sisters Brenda Feltner (David); Lisa Hess (Robert); brother Darrell Miller, all of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his very best companions Brisco and Livingston (rescues) whom he loved dearly.
Randy also leaves behind many friends who will miss his kindness, sense of humor, unique intellect and conspiracy theories.
Randy graduated from Berkeley Springs High School where he excelled in football and graduated in 1970. He attended Fairmont State College in the fall of 1970 majoring in computer science. He was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma and remained active in the fraternity and enjoyed the annual summer picnics with his fraternity brothers and their families.
Randy was an iron worker by trade and highly respected by his co-workers, working at Consolidates Coal and other mining companies in the area. He worked for Mountaineer Electric and Industrial Resources until his retirement.
Randy enjoyed watching West Virginia Mountaineer football and singing along to “Sweet Caroline.” He was an avid deer hunter on the family property in Morgan County and enjoyed Thanksgiving time every year when he would hunt with his uncles and cousins. He enjoyed boating on the Tygart Valley River and also enjoyed golfing with his friend, Keith Tingler.
Randy was a Methodist by faith.
Friends and family will be received at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Avenue, Fairmont, on Friday, October 24 with visitation at 1 p.m. and the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating. In keeping with Randy’s wishes, he will be cremated.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Marion County No Kill Animal Shelter, 2731 Locust Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554, or to a charity of their choice.
