William Eugene Goodman, Jr.
1941-2025
William Eugene Goodman. Jr., 83, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, formerly of Hershey, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 25, 2025.
He was born on October 10, 1941 in Harrisburg, Pa., son of the late William E. Goodman Sr., and Marion K. (Kindt) Goodman.
Mr. Goodman graduated from Hershey High School and Shippensburg College.
In his early years he worked as a teacher in Oxford and Hershey. His profession was as a District Manager for the Social Security Administration for 30 years in Western and Central Maryland and Northern West Virginia.
The move to Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia in the mid 1970’s, established his new home place where he resided with his wife, Sandy, until his death. His weekends and later retirement years were spent crafting the home place to fit the natural beauty of the mountains, hills and wildlife of Wild Wonderful West Virginia. The visits of nieces, nephews and their parents for family picnics, trail adventures and camping, continued for many years with lasting and fond memories.
William is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay (Sauley) Goodman; sisters, Susan (Barry) Bucks, Judith (Dennis) Tulli and Jane, (Rick) Eckert; sister- in-law, Mary, (wife of late brother), Ronald D. Goodman and brother-in-law, Kenneth M Sauley.
In following William’s wishes, a private service took place in Hershey, with interment in the Hershey Cemetery.
