A new traffic pattern is in place at the intersection of Fairfax Street and Independence Street in Morgan County. The new pattern began on Wednesday, September 24.
State highway officials said the intersection “has been converted to an all-way stop based on a recent study aimed at improving safety and traffic operations.”
Motorists should watch for changes and allow extra time to travel through the area.
Several local residents had pointed out to the Division of Highways that the intersection presented visibility problem because of its unique elevation and approach.
