Oliver Henry Swink III
1949-2025
Oliver Henry “Butch” Swink III, age 76, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at his home.
Born June 12, 1949 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Oliver Henry Swink, Jr. and Freda Voneda Harden Swink.
Butch was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
He worked at Blue Flame, Inc. and retired after 40 years of service as a manager. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Eric Scott Swink (Leslie) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and George “Brian” Coffman (Darlene) of Terra Alta, W.Va., one brother, Kenneth Lee Swink, Sr. (Linda) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one nephew, Kenneth Lee Swink, Jr. (Jaime) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and four grandchildren, Cayden Scott Swink, Finley Cole Swink, Jeffery Coffman and Brice Coffman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Rae Poffenberger Swink, his second wife, Janice Lee Buskirk Swink and one son, Christopher Kent Swink.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Family received friends two hours prior to service time from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
