During the week of July 13 -18, Morgan County youth Mathew Slifer and Anna Posdziech attended the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association Youth Leadership Academy, that was hosted by Glenville State University.
During their stay the local students had the opportunity to participate in many events that will help them be better leaders in the community as well as learning what types of career fields are available in the law enforcement profession.
They learned and participated in elections, accident reconstruction, traffic stops, mock trials, SWAT demonstration, K-9 demonstration, Bomb Unit demonstrations, firearms safety, teamwork and leadership.
