Harrington and Boyles named to Potomac Valley Conference Softball Team

Berkeley Springs High School’s softball program saw two of its top performers honored this week, as senior Alaira Harrington and freshman Molly Boyles were both named to the Potomac Valley Conference (PVC) Softball Team, following standout performances during the 2025 season.

For Harrington, the PVC nod is a fitting capstone to a remarkable high school career. A leader both at the plate and in the pitching circle, Harrington finished the season with a .406 batting average, tallying 26 hits in 64 at-bats, including 10 doubles and a triple. She drove in 10 runs and crossed the plate 17 times, playing a crucial role in the Lady Indians’ offense.

On the mound, Harrington was the team’s go-to ace, pitching 72 innings while posting a 6–8 record and recording 69 strikeouts. Her composure and consistency also extended to the hot corner, where she manned third base with a sharp glove, logging a .938 field- ing percentage with 31 putouts and 36 assists.

Freshman Molly Boyles made an immediate impact in her varsity debut, proving to be one of the conference’s most promising young talents. As the Lady Indians’ primary catcher, Boyles not only handled the pitching staff with confidence but also led the team with a .417 batting average. In 23 games, she collected 25 hits in 60 at-bats, driving in 11 runs, scoring 16 times and recording six doubles and a triple.

Both athletes exemplified leadership, grit and competitive spirit throughout the 2025 campaign, helping to lead the Lady Indians throughout a rigorous schedule and season.

Harrington’ s veteran poise and Boyles’ breakout debut showcased the past, present and future of Berkeley Springs softball.

With Harrington graduating and Boyles returning, the Lady Indians celebrate the contributions of their PVC honorees while looking ahead with excitement to next season.
