Connie Lucille Dell
1931-2025
Connie Lucille Dell, age 93, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at War Memorial Hospital.
Born August 13, 1931 in Mt. Union, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Belle Minerva Starr Grissinger.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Connie was a graduate of Mt. Union Area High School.
Connie had many vocations in her lifetime including a telephone operator, store clerk and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Connie is survived by her children, Cynthia Starr “Cindi” Close (Tom) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., James Talbert Dell, Jr. (Terri) of Denver, N.C., three grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Close (Connie), Bradley James Close (Jessica) and Megan Elizabeth Shives (Spencer), all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., seven grandchildren, Lily Close, Maddie Close, Taryn Close, Logan Close, Juliana Close, Jackson Shives, and Emery Shives and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Talbert Dell, Sr. on June 25, 2015, two sisters, Wanda Acri and Iona Spencer and one grandson, Josh Bragg.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
