Carolyn “Susie” Sager
November 29, 1944 – June 16, 2025
Susie Sager, 80, of Berkeley Springs, passed away Monday morning, June 16, from cardiac arrest.
Preceding her in death, she laid to rest both of her parents, mother Bertha Fleckinstein, father Howard Stotler, and her older brother Charles “Dub” Stotler.
She is survived by all 5 of her children Candee Sears (64), Charles Bowman (62), George “Punkin” Sager (57), William “BJ” Sager (56), and Andrew “Andy” Sager (55), her nephew Todd Wills (48), and countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cherished.
Susie worked many years at our local Food Lion Deli and McDonalds where she received awards for her performance.
Her open door policy and heart of gold led many to call her “Mom” or “Nanny”. She was deeply family oriented and would help others in need without question. She never met a stranger!!! She was a force to be reckoned with and enjoyed living life to the fullest.
Please join us to celebrate her life at Hillbilly Heaven on Saturday July 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be light snacks provided, memories and photos will be shared, and the bar will be open for purchase of food and drinks.
