Haley Jean Barnhart

Haley Jean Barnhart, age 19, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at War Memorial Hospital.
Born November 3, 2005 in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of Nancy Jean Yost and the late Jason Scott Barnhart.
She was a member of Martinsburg Church of Christ.
Haley was a 2024 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
Haley touched the lives of everyone that she came in contact with and those that had the pleasure meeting her. Her infectious smile lit up the room and her Momma’s whole world. Haley’s light shined so brightly and the world is now dim without her here. She lived a life that little girls’ dreams are made of and her beloved mother made sure of that. Haley loved milkshakes, traveling, being outdoors and all the activities she was a part of.
She was West Virginia Miss Amazing Teen Queen in 2024. Haley participated in her high school dance club, The Challenger Softball League, Cheerabilities, The Special Olympics, social clubs and numerous pageants.
In addition to her mother, Haley is survived by her siblings, Emberlynn Renee Barnhart, Maverick Aaron-Scott Barnhart and Colten Robert Barnhart, her stepmother, Amanda K. Johnson Barnhart, several aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ersel Leroy and Norma Jean Munson Yost and her paternal grandparents, Robert A and Barbara J. Alderton Barnhart and one aunt, Lori R. Yost.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Berkeley Springs High School Gymnasium, 149 Concord Avenue, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Pastor Chris Butler. Burial will be in Black Oak Mennonite Cemetery in Warfordsburg, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The funeral home will be open from 11 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Haley’s memory may be made to the Eastern Panhandle Special Olympics, 279 Corbin Heights Way, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
