Cool 92.9 (WXDC-FM), the classic hits station in Berkeley Springs serving the Eastern Panhandle and surrounding region, has been named the 2025 Best Classic Oldies/Adult Hits Station of the Year by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association (WVBA).
The award was presented during the WVBA’s annual Excellence in Broadcasting Awards Banquet held on April 26 at the Charleston Marriott. 
“This prestigious recognition celebrates Cool 92.9’s commitment to delivering timeless music, engaging content, and strong community involvement,” said company staff.
Owned and operated by WVRC Media, Cool 92.9 went on the air with Morgan County’s Greatest Hits in October 2023, bringing classic hits from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s to local radios and online broadcasting platforms.
Cool 92.9 has also served the local community through live broadcasts of Berkeley Springs High School sports. The station also hosts “Community Conversations,” a popular local interview series that highlights area leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community initiatives, bringing important voices and stories to the airwaves.
