Town of Bath Tree Board member Kate Lehman has said four Linden trees were planted on upper Fairfax Street on March 18 as part of an ongoing tree care plan.
The Lindens were interspaced with the Bradford pear trees and will replace the existing Bradford trees once the newly planted Lindens have grown taller and fuller.
The Bradford pear trees are at the end of their expected lifespan and will be removed, Lehman said. The trees are prone to splitting or dropping large limbs, she said.
The Tree Board members worked with the town’s Public Works department to plant the trees.
The Lindens were purchased with funds from a 2025 Demonstration City grant awarded by the WV Division of Urban Forestry.
