At the March 18 meeting the Town of Bath Council approved a budget of $984,667 for the next fiscal year. FY 2025-26 will begin on July 1 and ends June 30, 2026.
The budget has been sent to the State Auditor’s office but it has not been approved by the auditor and cannot go into effect until it is approved.
Finance committee chair and Town Recorder Susan Webster said the budget is moving the town forward with a package that pays the bills.
Approval by the state will allow the Town to officially set levy (tax) rates at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, April 15.
This budget is up from the town’s budget of $838,813 during the last fiscal year, an increase of 17.3%.
