Yang Soon “Donna’ Payne
1948-2025
Yang Soon “Donna” Payne, age 76, of Hedgesville, W.Va., passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at her home.
She was born March 20, 1948 in Seoul, South Korea. Donna worked as a laborer at Quad Graphics.
She attended beauty school in Korea.
She enjoyed flowers, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg, W.Va.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Leroy Payne, one daughter, Mary So Young, three grandchildren, Cody Edward Young, Morgan Elizabeth Young, Alexis Brooke Young and one great-granddaughter, Marley Brooke Young.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Donald Dick, Sr. officiating.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery following services on Saturday.
