Gerald Kent VanGosen
1958-2025
Gerald Kent “Kenny” VanGosen, age 66, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home.
Born October 12, 1958 in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clyde Gerald and Dorothy Lea Penner VanGosen.
Kenny was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
He was a maintenance supervisor with Phoenix Color in Hagerstown, Md.
His family was his whole life. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kay Breeden VanGosen; two daughters, Charity Yost (Gary) and Bobbi Truax (Billy), one son, Jeffrey VanGosen, one sister, Debra Jenkinson, one brother, Dennis VanGosen (Tot) and nine grandchildren, Kenton, Kaiden, Kylee, Devon, Dakota, Kaileigh, Bradley, Breauna and Leo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Sue Fleece.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Rodney Truax will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.
