Connie W. “Junie” Ryan, Jr.

1939-2025

Connie William “Junie” Ryan, Jr., 85, of Paw Paw, W.Va., died on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Facility, Winchester, Va.

Junie was born March 2, 1939, in Morgan County, W.Va, the son of the late Connie W. Ryan, Sr. and Joy Sirbaugh Ryan.

Junie was a veteran in the United States Air Force working on B52 bombers and other military planes and was a lifetime Legionnaire Member of the American Legion Post #128 in Paw Paw where he served as past Commander and other officer roles.

Junie enjoyed logging and farming, taking hunting and fishing trips and WVU sports. He never met a stranger and is going to be missed by many.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles “Keith” Ryan of Paw Paw, W.Va., and Ora “Jerry” Ryan of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Dick” Ryan and an infant sister, Joyce Ryan.

A funeral service was held at Woodrow Church, 3336 Paw Paw Rd., Paw Paw, W.Va., on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. Officiating was Pastor Earl Travis. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Military rites were accorded by the United States Air Force.
