During a swearing-in ceremony held on December 23 in the Morgan County Commission office, Johnnie Walter became Morgan County’s newest Sheriff. Walter was sworn in by County Clerk Kim Nickles as other law enforcement officers stood by. Walter has served as the Chief Deputy for K.C. Bohrer during his two terms as sheriff.
