Virginia Jane Bohan

1941-2024

Virginia (Jane) Bohan, 83 of Hancock, Md. passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 peacefully at her home.

Born on August 28, 1941 she was the daughter of the late William Chester Reed and stepdaughter of Leona Eberhart. She grew up in Point Marion and Smithfield, Pa.

Jane resided in Hagerstown, Md. and was employed as a bank manager at F&M Bank for many years. She relocated to Hancock, Md. and was employed at Home Federal and CNB Bank before retiring in 2001. She was recognized for her strong work ethic and customer service skills.

Jane was small but mighty and a bundle of energy. She loved gardening, crafting, and playing Bingo and slot machines. She was an avid Beatle fan instilling the love of music to her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake and was known for her homemade pies, cookies, cakes and nut rolls. Jane’s proudest achievement was her family. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother making sure each family member felt special during visits by making their favorite treat or meal. She loved taking adventures with her children to various destinations and attending school and sporting events for her children and grandchildren.

Jane is survived by her husband of 66 years, Andrew Bohan Sr., daughter Terry Scarborough and husband Woody of Williamsport, Md., son, Andrew Bohan, Jr. and wife Lynda of Smithsburg, Md., and daughter Bonnie Davis and husband Bill of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. She is survived by her grandchildren, Doug Snodderly, Samantha Mellott, Tiffany Morton, Andrew Bohan, Alyssa Davis, Billy Davis, Kelley Parker, Dolan Scarborough, Mary Scarborough, and William Scarborough. Great-grandchildren include Ember Mellott, Lila, Alexandra and Violet Morton, Olivia and Henry Bohan, Kirsten and Kyle Parker and Millie McGuire.

Private family graveside services will be at Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington County and Davita Kidney Care for their tender care and support.
