School board approves hiring of after-school employees and coaches

The Morgan County School Board approved the following personnel changes at their November 19 meeting, which included hiring after-school personnel and coaches and approving several leaves of absence.

Berkeley Springs High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Jason Smith was granted a paid leave of absence from October 2 through December 22.

Service personnel

Kelley Kyne, Widmyer Elementary kindergarten aide/ECCAT (early childhood classroom assistant teacher), was approved for a paid leave of absence from November 4 through February 20, 2025.

Barbara Litten, Pleasant View Elementary itinerant special education aide, was granted an unpaid leave of absence from September 16 through January 3.

Extracurricular/extra duty

Tessa Palumbo was hired as Paw Paw Schools after-school program teacher for the 2024-2025 school year beginning November 20.

Shanahan Elmore was employed as Warm Springs Intermediate School third grade after-school program coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year starting November 20.

Margaret Hill, Christina Rose and Lorie Faith were hired as Warm Springs Intermediate School third grade after-school program teachers for the 2024-2025 school year starting November 20.

Tammi Stotler was hired as county Math Field Day coordinator beginning November 20.

Additional position

The school board approved an additional position of a part-time math coach at Pleasant View Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.  The funding source is a grant from the Seely Foundation.

Coaches

Dennis Aulabaugh was     employed as Berkeley Springs High School assistant boys varsity basketball coach beginning November 20.

Dustin Paul was hired as Paw Paw Schools head middle school boys basketball coach starting November 20.  Paul was also hired as Paw Paw Schools assistant boys varsity basketball coach beginning November 20.
