Dawn Rose Cook-Turner, age 62, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Born March 15, 1962 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Phyllis Bowers Cook. She was a Christian.

Dawn was a graduate of Fairmont High School in Landover, Md.

She worked as a satellite communicator with NASA.

Dawn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and liked cats and dogs.

Dawn is survived by her husband, Glendon Warren Turner, Jr., at home, six children, Glendon W. Turner III and his wife, Joanna of Davidsonville, Md., Krista A. Turner of Crownsville, Md., David J. Levin of New Carrollton, Md., Justin L. Levin of North Beach, Md., Joshua A. Turner of Las Vegas, Nev. and Zacharia J. Turner of Hedgesville, W.Va., one sister, Robin Warner and her husband, Rob of Blue Grass, Va., one brother, Glen Cook of West River, Md., five grandchildren, London, Abraham, Benjamin, Julian and Willow and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Cook.

Services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dawn’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 122 South High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501.
