Geraldine Marie Willard
1923-2024
Geraldine Marie Willard, age 100, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, October 7, 2024 at her residence while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born November 7, 1923 in the New Hope area of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of Oscar Brent and Laura Grace McBee Weber.
She was a dedicated member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church. Geraldine was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. She started her working career with the Interwoven Mill and retired from CNB Bank after 25 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Robert Lee Willard, Jr. and his wife Connie; four grandchildren, Jessica Marie Willard and her partner, Pierre Gwet-Lock of Martinsburg, W.Va., Amanda Paige Sanchez and her husband, Richard and Matthew Evan Willard, all of Seattle, Wash., Robert Lee Willard III and his fiancé, Christine Crouse of Atlanta, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Emile Lock, Ursula Sanchez and Teuila Sataraka Willard and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Willard, Sr., three sisters and eight brothers.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, 101 S. Mercer Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Osborne officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
