Do you love the smell of apples cooking filling your house, have a recipe passed down through generations or like to experiment and make up your own?
Enter your baking at the 49th Annual Apple Butter Festival Baking Contest! Any recipe that features apples may be entered in the contest. The contest will be run and judged by Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.
Judging will be done in the following seven categories: (1) breads, muffins, rolls; (2) cakes; (3) cookies; (4) pies, pastries, apple dumplings; (5) miscellaneous; (6) sugar free; and (7) youth (grade 8 and below). Contestants may enter as many times as they like.
All entries must be at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College at the Pines Opportunity Center, 109 War Memorial Dr, Berkeley Springs, WV, between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12. Judging at 12:15 pm. No entries will be accepted after 11:30 a.m.
The entries will be donated to The Boys and Girls Club for sale after judging has been completed.
