David Allan Vanorsdale
1959-2024
David Allan Vanorsdale, age 64, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at War Memorial Hospital.
Born November 4, 1959 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Betty Alene Vanorsdale Roach and his late stepfather, Charles Roach.
He attended Independent Church of God in Hedgesville, W.Va. and Gospel Light Tabernacle in Berkeley Springs.
David attended schools in Hancock, Md.
He worked as ground maintenance with Cacapon State Park.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing and talking on his CB radio.
David is survived by his wife, Tanya Lynn Penner Vanorsdale, at home, one daughter, Carrie Renee DeWitt and her husband, Paul of Deer Park, Md., two stepchildren, Cory Joseph Henry and his wife, Lori Ann and Sarah Yvonne Henry, all of Berkeley Springs, four grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew, Braelynn and Allyson, four step-grandchildren, Cedric, Gracey, Hayden and MaKenna and two step-great grandchildren, Scarlett and Lucille.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Gospel Light Tabernacle, 21 Gospel Lane, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Pastor Shane Boyer and Pastors Lynnie and Ada Ambrose will officiate. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made to Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. to help defray funeral expenses.
