Andrew Bernard Jurick
1931-2024
Andrew Bernard Jurick, age 92, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Fahrney-Keedy Senior Living Center in Boonsboro, Md.
Born September 7, 1931 in Clarksburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Joseph and Mary Krischock Jurick.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs.
Andy served in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Clarksburg, W.Va. and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. Andy worked as an accountant with Chase Manhattan Bank.
He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Council #12191, Boy Scouts of America, Syracuse Community Theater and chairman of the Warm Springs Public Service District.
Andy enjoyed volunteering in his community, tinkering around, watching and listening to baseball. He loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
Andy is survived by his sons, Dana Mark Jurick (Kalsey) of New Ulm, Texas, Jerome Francis Jurick (Margaret Brassil) of Baltimore, Md. and Jeffery Andrew Jurick of Berkeley Springs, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Frances Mechem Jurick, three sisters, Regina Jurick, Bernadette Jurick and Sister Genevieve Jurick and two brothers, Joseph Jurick and John Jurick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 67 Liberty Street, Berkeley Springs, WV, with the Rev. Fr. J. Stephen Vallelonga as celebrant. Burial will be in the Michael Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. & 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
