Marvin Shambaugh
1959-2024
Marvin “Dean” Shambaugh, 65, of Great Cacapon, West Virginia departed this life on Monday, May 13, 2024 at his home, after a long illness.
He was born May 11, 1959 at Berkeley Springs and was the son of the late Marion “Ike” Albert Shambaugh and Essie ReEtta (Brown) Shambaugh. Dean never married.
He was self-employed, enjoyed cutting wood and mowing grass and was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by – daughters that he raised, Riva Farris of Paw Paw and Bonnie Burke of Summersville, W.Va. Along with others; one sister, Debra Shambaugh of Magnolia, W.Va.; one brother, Luther “Jock” Shambaugh, and his wife, Dottie, of Paw Paw; dear friends, Shain Keller, Derek Keller, and Osker Reynolds; a special sister-in-law, Donna Shambaugh of Paw Paw and his cat, Sylvester.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Joe Shambaugh and Floyd Shambaugh; one sister, Sandra Shambaugh and a special friend, Dave Reynolds.
A funeral service was held at Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw on Friday, May 17 with Pastor Daniel Morris officiating. Interment was at the Reynolds Family Cemetery at Great Cacapon.
