Berkeley Springs Rotary Club donates books to encourage reading

In partnership with Rotary Clubs across the Eastern Panhandle, the Berkeley Springs Rotary Club recently conducted its Second Grade Book Project.

Each second-grade student at Paw Paw, Pleasant View and Widmyer Elementary Schools, 145 students in total, received a book bag containing nine books donated by the Berkeley Springs Rotary Club.

The project aims to help students maintain or increase their reading proficiency during the summer break from school and to encourage a lifelong interest in reading.
