Nancy Carol Atkinson Dillon
Nancy Carol Atkinson Dillon, age 78, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, died on May 1, 2024 at home.
Mrs. Dillon was born in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Juanita Atkinson.
She graduated from Thomas Dale High School, Chester, Virginia and the Smithdeal-Massey Business College in Richmond.
She was an administrative assistant and officer manager for Reynolds Metals in Richmond; Shenandoah Foods and Power/Warner Communications Group in Winchester. Her last position was for Kesecker Realty in Berkeley Springs.
Mrs. Dillon was an active member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Cedar Grove (Virginia) Charge, where she held many positions in the church and the United Methodist Women’s group.
She was an adult volunteer for the Girl Scouts and a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Mrs. Dillon is survived by her husband, Richard J. Dillon. They were married in Centralia, Virginia in August 1967. She is also survived by her daughter, Carol Dillon, Stephens City, Virginia; son, R. Scott Dillon (Jenn), Eugene, Oregon; five grandchildren, Jackson and Katie Umbenour, Padraig, Kellan and Teagan Dillon; sisters, Judy Bess (Rae), Dewitt, Virginia and Gloria Strang (Raymond), South Chesterfield, Virginia.
A service will be held at Phelps Funeral Chapel, 311 Hope Dr., Winchester, Virginia on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 3 p.m. A visitation will be held in the chapel an hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
